Starless Sky
I look up at the starless sky
Without the stars who should be there
Sharing this moment with me
This moment that hold no significance
While I look, I miss the sky
I miss the stars
I miss the light they provide
All that's left is the moon
All alone that poor moon is
Glowing in the dark
When it should be glowing in the light
Just like me, alone when we should have others
I feel the moon's sorrow
For I feel the same
The empty sky is no place
No place for either of us
I wonder what happened
Those poor little flecks of light
One day here
The next day gone
Not a single word was said
About their disappearance

I laid curled up on my bed reading a book Father had given me from his ventures out of the cave. The book I was reading was "Lord of the Rings". It was written by a human called JRR Tolkien. I love reading human literature and I would love to one day venture into t

"AHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed as the light of the outside world hit my sensitive eyes. My eyes hurt, a lot. Luckily I reflexively covered my eyes with my hands. It was extremely bright outside, or maybe it was just that I was inside a dark building or so long.
It may be hell out here, but there was just something peaceful. The door led to a park, maybe even a forest so full of trees it must have been a forest. [i]Wonder why this place was built in a forest, whatever I got more important things to think about like getting the hell out of here alive. I had to know if he could do it, could he really help save these people. I was in a room, more of an office really. It looked like it was once the office of someone important, but now it was empty just like everywhere else. I walked over to the desk where a large collection of papers were, I thought this would be a good place to start. Hell who was I kidding, this entire room was a mess along with this entire complex. Bookcases where broken and on the ground, files were spread out across the floor, the computer was broken, there was even some blood on the screen fragments, but it didn't matter. I had
A click, it all started with the simple click of a button. Then a voice.
"Date: January 17th, 2010, two days after the outbreak. Hello, if you are listening to this recording then you I must advise you to not get rid of it. I feel that since it is inevitable that I will die for the sins I have created, someone must carry on my mission. I can only hope that whoever is listening to this understands that I never meant to hurt anyone, none of us did we were just simple scientists doing our jobs. It isn't our fault" At that last sentence the man's voice wavers slightly. He takes a brief pause then continues. "...Who am I kidding? Heh, it was all

I wonder why I'm writing this.
This is not part of this story. But, I wonder. Why am I writing this? Do I feel the need to get things down, so they are straight? Or maybe to quell my mind? I don't know. But, this is not some story that can be tossed aside. It's history. History that might be forgotten. But, then as I say that, this story should not be told. Not fully, as it is. There are secrets that world is not ready, or ever should know.
Knowledge we are not alone, that there are others outside our universe. I would not normally withhold. But, with what I have learned, it would set events in action that would lead

Prologue
15years ago astronomers recorded the destruction of a star via various telescopes around the world. They herald it as one of the most spectacular events in astrological history....
10days ago satellites picked up a massive object heading towards earth, government leaders thought it was an asteroid and voted to keep the information out of the public eye...It was only 2 days before the object was due to arrive that government leaders learned that the object was actually a space craft and saw fit to inform the world of what was approaching...
Over the final 48hours before they're arrival, contact had been

"The Lost Journal" was an idea put forward by to ~Telranis (https://www.deviantart.com/telranis) and over the last week and many late nights for him (doesn't time difference suck) We have a finished product.
We're both quite chuffed with the end result so I hope yous enjoy it as much as we've both enjoyed writing it.
PLEASE PLEASE don't forget to comment and Fav 's :iconbucksbhoy: copy if you end up commenting and favorite-ting my own. (Which I kinda doubt :P)
